I’m spending the month of June at Weir Farm Art Center‘s residency at Weir Farm National Historic Site. They provide a gorgeous studio and the grounds are beautiful (if you’re looking for a residency to apply to, I’d recommend this one). It’s been really interesting to learn about all the artists that have lived/worked at Weir Farm – the staff are so informed and enthusiastic!
While I’m here, I’m working on a series of drawings about various interpretations of the idea of survival. Some of my initial source material includes illustrations by Garth Williams from Laura Ingalls Wilder’s books.
