Künstlerhaus Lukas

Good news! I have won a scholarship to Künstlerhaus Lukas residency in Ahrenshoop, Germany for May 2017. There is a competitive exchange program for alumni from Nes Artist Residency in Iceland, where I was a resident in 2013.

The KL residency has been operating since 1994, and the Künstlerhaus Lukas is the oldest artists’ house in Germany. More than one hundred years ago, the painter Paul Müller-Kaempff, co-founded an artists’ colony Ahrenshoop, which became the foundation for the residency today. It was built as a boarding house and studio for his painting students and named after the patron of fine arts, St Luke.

The program at Künstlerhaus Lukas serves artistic work, gathering and exchange of artists from different genres and countries with each other as well as with an interested public. There are seven rent-free apartments available.
