During my residency at Kunstlerhaus Lukas, I did a lot of walking and photography of the surrounding area. I especially noticed a slightly different system of signs and physical barriers in Germany versus the United States. I was also drawn to the wide variety of natural surroundings, from the ocean to forested areas. I used many of those photos to create this series of digital collages, which I printed and displayed during our open house event at the end of the residency.
