“Demarcation” is a collaborative series I executed with Phil McCollam while on an artist residency in Iceland, summer 2013. This work is critical of human impulses to control or mark natural settings. These markings range from quite ephemeral, such as markings in sand or arrangements of feathers, to slightly sturdier structures, including mountain-side cairns and shoreline rock arrangements.
