Manifest Destiny III, is a continuation of Manifest Destiny I & II (originally part of "Ladders in the Desert").
This work is a satirical series of photos and videos inspired by the western landscape, historical westward expansion, and human infringement on America's natural resources. The piece was filmed in a wilderness setting just west of Pueblo, Colorado. The uniforms visually represent a variety of different political groups presenting overly-simplistic understandings of issues related to expansion, while the cheers are taken from the US Passport.
