2005 production of "The Lesson" by Eugene Ionesco at Bemidji State University
In this production, the character of the student is a contemporary rebel stereotype pushed to the limits. Costuming for the professor and maid characters played a key role in the storytelling by visually mirroring Ionesco's slow build towards insanity. The set was purposefully non-descript and layered in gray for a twilight zone feel.
